Scheduled Outage

Monday, April 30, 2018.

6:00PM PDT / 9:00PM EDT
Estimated Duration: 2 hours.

Why will there be an outage? We are migrating the FamZoo servers from our current private hosting center to Amazon’s AWS cloud computing services. The migration will allow us to better accommodate our rapid growth.

Will our FamZoo cards work during the outage? Yes, your individual cards will continue to work throughout the outage. You’ll be able to make purchases and receive external card loads normally.

Will I be able to use the FamZoo app or application? No, the app and application will not be accessible during the outage.

Will I be able to move money between cards? No, the FamZoo app and application will be unavailable, so you’ll be unable to make any credits, debits, transfers, money requests, or reimbursements during the outage.

Will automated transfers be disrupted? Any automated transfers (allowance, parent-paid interest, auto-debits, or expiring checklist item payments) that would have normally occurred during the outage will be delayed and completed afterwards. That said, we have chosen the outage time window to minimize interference with our automated payment processing, so we expect few delays.

Will I receive activity alerts? No, you will not receive any card activity alerts during the outage. Alert delivery will be delayed until after the outage is over.

How will I know when the outage is over? We’ll send out a tweet from @FamZoo and post in the private Facebook group as soon as service resumes.
