Recent Outages/Issues

Friday, 1/17/2020 5:39PM - 8:34PM Pacific. Our card processor had a technical issue that caused sporadic failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations. Also, FamZoo cards were not working at merchants due to a connection issue that our card processing partner had with the MasterCard network.


Thursday, 12/5/2019 10:00PM Pacific. A scheduled 30 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). The primary purpose is the addition of the ability for FamZoo parent members to activate FamZoo cards via the FamZoo mobile app.

Are you running Firefox and having trouble signing into FamZoo? Firefox issued an upgrade in the past couple of weeks, and a side effect is that our users are not able to sign into FamZoo from Firefox. The problem can be fixed by clearing cookies in the Firefox browser via Menu > Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site data > Clear Data > Cookies and Site Data.

Sunday, 9/8/2019 1:05PM - 3:43PM Pacific Our card processor experienced a technical issue caused sporadic failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations.

Wednesday, 8/21/2019 10:00PM Pacific. A scheduled 30 minute outage for a feature upgrade. We added a new checklist capability called “Default Accounts” that makes First Dibs chore chart creation simpler and more elegant.

Friday, 8/16/2019 6:10PM - 6:27PM Pacific. A scheduled 15 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). We performed an upgrade to our underlying server software.

Friday, 7/5/2019 8:00AM - 9:52AM Pacific. Our card processor experienced a technical issue that caused sporadic failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations.

Monday, 6/17/2019 6:10PM Pacific. A scheduled 45 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). We performed an upgrade to our underlying server software.

Thursday, 5/30/2019 10:00PM Pacific. A scheduled 30 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). The primary purpose was the addition of a new feature to allow family members to request transfers between any two accounts — as opposed to just money requests from the primary funding card.

Thursday, 4/11/2019 4:30PM Pacific. Our prepaid card processing partner experienced a brief outage that affected transferring funds between cards, retrieving balances, and receiving card activity alerts.
