2023

Unscheduled Outages

Monday, 6/26/2023 2:45AM - 3:20AM Pacific. The FamZoo app was down to upgrade to the FamZoo 3.003 user interface. Our card processor’s servers were unaffected by the upgrade work, so cards continued to work normally for purchases during the outage.

Scheduled Maintenance

Sunday, 8/6/2023 12:00AM - 1:00AM Pacific. Our card processing partner was down for scheduled server maintenance early in the morning of 8/6/2023. Card transactions, online and at merchants, card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations were intermittently not be available during this period of time.

Wednesday, 6/14/2023 2:00PM - 2:05PM Pacific. A scheduled outage of ~10 minutes, for a minor upgrade to our underlying server software. Our card processor’s servers were unaffected by the upgrade work, so cards continued to work normally for purchases during the outage.

Monday, 6/12/2023 5:00PM - 5:40PM Pacific. A scheduled outage of ~60 minutes, for a minor upgrade to our underlying server software. Our card processor’s servers were unaffected by the upgrade work, so cards continued to work normally for purchases during the outage.

Saturday, 1/21/2023 10:15PM Pacific. A scheduled outage of 30 to 45 minutes, for a minor upgrade to the FamZoo app(lication), was postponed.

Tuesday, 1/3/2023 3:00AM - 4:00AM Pacific. A scheduled 60 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). We rolled out a fresh new user interface!

2022

Unscheduled Outages

Saturday, 9/17/2022 ~2:15AM - 8:15AM Pacific. Our card processing partner was down for scheduled server maintenance earlier in the morning of 9/17. Card transactions, online and at merchants, were back up and functioning within the maintenance window. However, card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations were not available until ~8:15AM Pacific.

Tuesday, 8/23/2022 12:06AM - 7:28AM Pacific. Our card processor had a technical issue that caused failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations.

Monday, 8/22/2022 01:52PM- 02:27PM Pacific. Our card processor had a technical issue that caused failures for purchases using cards, card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations.

Wednesday, 11/11/2020 1:40PM - 2:40PM Pacific. Our card processor experienced a technical issue that caused sporadic failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations. The cards themselves continued to work normally for purchases.

Thursday, 10/29/2020 10:40AM - 11:05AM, 2:55PM - 3:38PM Pacific. Our card processor experienced two brief outages in the subsystem we use to communicate with them.

Sunday, 8/30/2020 6:10AM - 8:00AM Pacific. Our card processor experienced an outage caused by issues with Internet service providers at CenturyLink and Cloudflare that affected other sites across the Internet as well.

Friday, 4/3/2020 4:22PM - 5:27PM Pacific. Our card processor experienced a technical issue that caused sporadic failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations. The cards themselves continued to work normally for purchases.

Friday, 1/17/2020 5:39PM - 8:34PM Pacific. Our card processor had a technical issue that caused sporadic failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations. Also, FamZoo cards were not working at merchants due to a connection issue that our card processing partner had with the MasterCard network.

Friday, 7/5/2019 8:00AM - 9:52AM Pacific. Our card processor experienced a technical issue that caused sporadic failures for card-to-card transfers, card activations, and some other card operations.

Thursday, 4/11/2019 4:30PM Pacific. Our prepaid card processing partner experienced a brief outage that affected transferring funds between cards, retrieving balances, and receiving card activity alerts.

Scheduled Maintenance

Thursday, 12/5/2019 10:00PM Pacific. A scheduled 30 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). The primary purpose is the addition of the ability for FamZoo parent members to activate FamZoo cards via the FamZoo mobile app.

Wednesday, 8/21/2019 10:00PM Pacific. A scheduled 30 minute outage for a feature upgrade. We added a new checklist capability called “Default Accounts” that makes First Dibs chore chart creation simpler and more elegant.

Friday, 8/16/2019 6:10PM - 6:27PM Pacific. A scheduled 15 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). We performed an upgrade to our underlying server software.

Monday, 6/17/2019 6:10PM Pacific. A scheduled 45 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). We performed an upgrade to our underlying server software.

Thursday, 5/30/2019 10:00PM Pacific. A scheduled 30 minute outage for the FamZoo app(lication). The primary purpose was the addition of a new feature to allow family members to request transfers between any two accounts — as opposed to just money requests from the primary funding card.
